Australia Issues Travel Warning For France
The Government of Australia today issued a travel warning for those planning on traveling to France in the near term. The riots and demonstrations by the French are creating an unsafe environment and have forced the Australian government to issue this warning. I wonder how many other countries will have the good sense to warn their citizens about France. The country is becoming more and more unstable.
“Recent demonstrations in major cities against the French Government’s new employment law for young workers have attracted large numbers of protesters and some have turned violent,” DFAT said on its website.
“You should monitor the media and other local information sources for information about further planned demonstrations and avoid relevant areas.”
Between one and three million people have taken part in the fifth day of strikes across France, protesting against a controversial new youth employment law. via NEWS.com.au.

I’m astonished that on a travel blog you would write “I wonder how many other countries will have the good sense to warn their citizens about France”. Nothing like panicking people for nothing.
The situation in Paris is NOT life threatening or dire. Contrary to what they say on CNN, you are not safer in Baghdad. The marches go on, you know where they will be and at what time, and you simply avoid them. You can be in the middle of the Latin Quarter or the 6th arrondissement and have no idea of what is going on. Incidents that occur are isolated, and they make it on the news of course.

The warnihg by the Australian Government about the Parisian Demonstrations is so out of line with reality and so totally silly that it makes one laugh. We have a very stupid Government in the USA and I see Australia has one as stupid as ours if not worse. Bush’s Brain
